Winetasting

It is normal to taste a wine before buying in Languedoc. Winetasting in Languedoc is a relaxed affair. Unlike other areas, there is normally no charge, and no one is upset if you don't buy.

There are several thousand wine producers in Languedoc-Rousillon.

A few are medium scale with organised wine tasting facilities. The majority are small, where wine tasting is available by appointment.

The cave co-operatives vary in management style. Those with retail shops offer wine tasting. Smaller co-operatives require an appointment.
