This 2 star Logis de France is situated on the plain
with good views up towards the delightful medieval
hill village of Vezenobres. Formerly an old Relais de
Poste and Gendarmerie Nationale, it now offers
comfortable accommodation from 50 euros per room per
night. There is a pleasant restaurant and a terrace
which is situated on the main road and could benefit
from some screening and greenery. Menus range from 15
-30 Euros and wines from 15 Euros. Our party chose
menus from 20 to 26 Euros. House aperitifs included
kir with fig or chestnut, which were good. The dishes
we selected were uniformly good. For starters we chose
a Cevenol goat cheese salad, carpaccio of beef,
scallops and a local terrine. The main courses were
all fine. We chose sirloin of beef in an olive sauce
with noodles, a leg of lamb steak with saute potatoes
and monkfish with aubergine. There was a reasonable
range of deserts and cheeses. The service was
professional and pleasant. We were presented with a complimentary glass of champagne when they learned we
were celebrating an anniversary. All in all the Relais
Sarrasin is offering a good selection of menus at
reasonable prices and is recommended. |
