We noted Tony Stevens review of the above restaurant. We have been regular visitors for the past 2 years, it is our favourite restaurant in the area. Tony mentioned their rhubarb creme brulee. We were there last Friday, 19 Oct 2007, for lunch, a couple of days after the introduction of their new menu. As usual the food was excellent. It is always easy for my wife, a vegetarian, to find some tasty dishes. The highlight, for me, was a creme brulee flavoured with liquorice, yes, liquorice, served with prunes in a port style wine and iced coffee. I had reservations about creme brulee with liquorice, but, after the first taste I was converted. An unusual slant on a classic dessert, looking forward to our next visit.
Strongly recommend Tony revisits, the restaurant deserves a more in-depth review.
