It's peculiar that it doesn't connect with Béziers train station, just like the navette in Montpelier doesn't connect with the trains. Husband got off the train at Montpellier, and couldn't even find the navette to the airport. He got talking to a Swedish student (male he insists) and he paid for a taxi to the airport.

The Montpellier airport shuttle goes from the Place de l'Europe - 4 stops east on Tram Line 1 or 2 from the gare.

I suspect the problem is that the airport navette is run separately to the main TAM system so is not widely signposted from town.

See e.g. http://www.montpellier.aeroport.fr/layer_en.asp?nav=6_10_0

Hi Peter

Husband says he went there, and still couldn't find it. I suspect it only runs when it feels like it; not when customers need it.

regards

The link says that it runs Monday, Thursday & Sunday.

These are the days the Ryanair flight will run from Sun 30 March.

Maybe it hasn't started yet ?

BTW booking today for the first flight gives :

0.99 GBP
Sun, 30 Mar 08
Flight FR6022 06:30 Depart 09:40 Arrive

Don't expect free champagne on Ryanair route inaugurations !

Peter - suspect you've moved back on topic to Beziers. The link I gave for Montpellier http://www.montpellier.aeroport.fr/layer_en.asp?nav=6_10_0 was in response to Jennifer's Montpellier shuttle problems.

Shows 8 return shuttles 7 days of the week (more on weekdays).

Oops, yes !

It is the Beziers shuttle that (will?) meet Ryanair flights.

This is similar to the Nimes shuttle.

By email :

We have just returned from Bezier. We went by Ryanair and there was a shuttle bus waiting at the airport to take passengers into Bezier - just over 3 Euros. The bus takes you to the bus station. We then caught a free bus to get to the train station. On our return we caught the shuttle bus back to the airport. It leaves Bezier bus station at 12.10 p.m. from quai 19 for the flight to Stansted. For flights to Bristol it leaves the bus station on Monday at 8.55 a.m. and Thursday and Sunday at 8.05 a.m.

Has anyone taken the shuttle bus that operates from Beziers Airport to Vias and Cap d'Agde?

I think the times must have changed since then.
The bus now leaves Beziers at 8.20 am on Mondays and Fridays and 12.15 on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
These times are correct at least until 31/03/2010.

I wasn't aware of the free bus last time so I ran up through the park.
Not advisable for those with a heart condition Smile
