A trip to Millau and Bordeaux by Craig McGinty
WITH the new year upon us many newspapers are offering their readers a few ideas on places to visit in France.
On the Independent website there is an article about how the Millau Viaduct has already given visitor numbers in the region a boost.
The bridge was officially opened in December and the dramatic structure is drawing people from across the world to see it.
Elsewhere the Scotsman site takes a look at the charms of Bordeaux after its transformation from a city known only for its wine.
Today, although wine plays an important role the centre of the city has seen a renaissance, with an innovative tram system and many public buildings restored to former glories.
